“I know… And it was amazing. Believe me it was. I love you, Bonnie.” Julia shut her eyes tight for a second, hoping everything would make more sense to her when she opened them. “No…” Julia found herself whispering. She couldn’t lose Bonnie. Maybe it was selfish of her but she just couldn’t.

“It’s ok. I won’t be mad… I know you’ve liked him forever. And he makes you happy. And you and I will always be best friends. Now we’ll be roommates.” she smiled. “Be with Darren. He’s good for you.” she forced herself to sound happy.

Julia stopped Bonnie and kissed her. “I want to be with you Bonnie. I love you.” She ran a hand through her hair. “I just need time. A break from everything, you know? I just need to figure things out.” She takes Bonnie’s hand in hers.

Bonnie nods. “I understand that. I just.. I don’t have much time. This baby is going to be here whenever she wants to be. I love you, Julia. And if you need to take a break, then I understand. I’m just nervous about all of this.”

Julia took a deep breath and exhaled. “And I’ll be there. I’ll always be there for you and for Amelia. Always.” She kissed Bonnie on the cheek. “I love you too Bonnie.”

Bonnie wrapped her arms around Julia. “Let’s go home. I don’t really feel like shopping anymore.” she said, feeling physically and emotionally tired from the day.

Julia nodded, taking Bonnie’s hand in hers. “Home. I love the way that sounds,” she smiled at Bonnie.

Bonnie was quiet the whole ride back to her house. When they got in, she laid down on the couch and propped her swilled feet up. “I think I’m going to get a dog.” she said casually

When they pulled up to the baby boutique, Bonnie got out and stretched. “So, what about names? I like Amelia and call her Amie for short. What do you think?” she asked, looking at all the tiny pink clothes.

“Amelia. It’s beautiful. It’s perfect.” Julia smiles imagining holding baby Amelia in her arms. Julia holds up a little pink dress with a matching headband and socks. “Adorable. Why can’t I fit into baby clothes, B?”

“Because you’re not a Baby, Love.” Bonnie picked out some clothes that she had to have for Amelia. “I can’t wait to see you with her. She’s going to love you.” she smiled at Julia and kissed her cheek.

Julia giggled as Bonnie kissed her. “Bonnie you’re going to be the best mom in the world.” Julia touched Bonnie’s bump gently and spoke softly to it. “You, Amelia, are one lucky girl.”

“She is lucky. Because she has mommy Julia here.” Bonnie beamed as she put her hand over Julia’s on her belly. “How do you feel about Amelia Lilian? I umm, I haven’t decided what her last name will be.” she said, walking over to the bedding.

“It’s perfect,” Julia smiled down at little Amelia Lilian. “You’ve got time to work that out, Love,” she took Bonnie’s hand and walked with her. “This baby is going to be absolutely perfect no matter what her last name is. She’s got you.”

Bonnie bit her lip and sighed. “What about Darren?” she asked nervously. “I don’t want to pressure you, Jules. I love you and Amie loves you. I want you to be in our lives… Forever. But only if you’re sure that’s what you want.”

Julia sighed. She knew she’d have to cross that bridge eventually. But she was just so curious about everything. “I want to be in your lives too, Bonnie. I want to so much. And I love you with all my heart. You’re amazing… But Darren is… he’s everything I’ve ever wanted in a guy. I love him too.” Julia shook her head. How was it that she was so happy, but she knew she would end up hurting more than one person no matter what she did. “Bonnie, I haven’t told my parents. About you and me… I can’t.
